My party of three wanted to visit here for the White Lotus pre-fixe menu on the last day it was available. We arrived at 5 pm and ended up sitting at 6:30 pm. Unfortunately, they ran out of the pre-fixe by the time we were seated, which was quite disappointing. But we were excited to eat here nonetheless. Our server was helpful with the menu. The ambiance felt like a Thai twist on a classic diner, complete with Thai music playing in the background. I always appreciate it when a restaurant includes authentic music--it adds so much to the experience. We got the disco fries, the khao soi, the lobster omelet, and the crab fried rice. We got the full moon party and the spicy tamarind margarita for cocktails. Service was fast and the food came in quick. The fries were seasoned well and tasted good but they weren't anything unique or different. But all the mains were AMAZING. I've never had crab fried rice this good and I still dream of the the side sauce it came with. The khao soi and the omelet were extremely good too - super creamy and cooked to perfection. We were too full to try dessert but given their extensive menu (especially for brunch), I will definitely definitely be back.

I cannot say enough how much I love Thai Diner! I'm from DC, but every time I come to NY I make sure I have a meal at Thai Diner. My first time coming here was for brunch. I saw the scallion breakfast pancake and the Thai tea French toast on IG and HAD to come check it out. Wow. Delicious!! Soooo delicious! Every bite was heaven. The Thai French toast came with a Thai tea butter and condensed milk to pour onto the brioche ... soooo good. I was chatting with our server telling her how happy I was. She mentioned I have to come for breakfast because there's another menu. Wow. Second time I came was for lunch and I got the Thai cheesesteak. Brooo this is my favorite here at the spot. You gotta come during lunch because it's only during certain hours!! I love it in here. I love the food, the staff is amazing, the vibe is right. Feels like you're in Thailand. Thai music blasting. The bathroom has a poster with different yoga poses good for digestion and whatnot. What else do you need from a spot? Don't mess around. Go!! It's worth the wait.

Bustling thai restaurant with dishes that will certainly address your sweet/salty taste buds. I came on two separate occasions. One was for brunch and another for dinner. Loved that their menu has unique offerings including pandan hot chocolate and coconut milanese chicken. The milanese chicken was very tasty and actually didnt need any additional sauce since the chicken was juicy and the breading was sweet from the coconut flakes and savory from the other spices. I was finally able to try the thai french toast recently but was surprised to find out that it wasnt as sweet as I imagined. I think if they swapped the evaporated milk with condensed milk or an infused syrup it would be a better combination. Overall, a good spot to try some different things in Thai cuisine though wait times can be long.

Thai diner gives an American diner atmosphere with fun Thai dishes. The service was excellent, and they were really knowledgeable on ingredients for accommodating food allergies. We ordered the crispy snapper and the green curry clams. Both were excellent, although the clam portion was somewhat small. The food itself can be spicy for people who don't like spicy. Anyone who enjoys some spice will be fine. As someone that's not typically into diners, I'm excited to come back again to try many more dishes.

I was able to walk in on a sunday evening for a solo dinner, wait was only 25min. I like the ambiance inside, it was packed and lively! I recommend the mr boon crab fried rice, morning glory and thai tea.

Casual ambiance, inside and outside seating, quick and friendly service and good food. I started with green curry clams and both the curry and the roti it came with were delicious. Then I got beef pad see ew and the beef came in a bit dry and overcooked - wasn't super well done. For tea I got the silk tea that I enjoyed and for dessert I tried the mango sticky rice but the flavor was just off - I wouldn't get that again. 90% of seats are saved for walk-in so don't worry if you can't find a reservation online. It felt also a bit expensive for what it offers but good food.

The combination of flavors was surprising and unique. The crab fried rice was a standout--perfectly seasoned, with tender crab meat and just the right amount of heat. As for the cheesesteak, it was a delightful fusion of Thai spices and classic cheesesteak. The meat was tender, the cheese was melty, and the balance of flavors was spot-on. The wait was definitely worth it, and it's clear this place is a local favorite for a reason. I can't wait to come back next time I'm in town--definitely a place to recommend! We sat in the patio it is heated just very tight and I'm not sure how the main dining room looked because it was very packed.

Delicious Thai-fusion spot with my favorite French toast in the city! It's pretty hyped up and can be tough to get a reservation so I honestly recommend just walking in (so far the wait has only been 10 min max), but to avoid it come during an off time or a weekday! The Thai tea French toast is my favorite thing here! The bread they use is this delicious cinnamony babka, and the Thai tea butter is to die for! Absolutely love! The breakfast sandwich is also good, and their Thai tea/coffee are both solid.

Finally made it to the infamous Thai Diner! They do not take reservations so I arrived around 6pm, put my name down for a party of 3, and we were seated around 6:30pm. I will say foot traffic started picking up shortly after 6pm. Something to note is that they do not have any waiting space inside, so keep that in mind depending on what season it is. First impressions once inside: - The atmosphere here is cozy and charming, with thoughtful decor that really highlights the attention to detail. It's the perfect spot for a casual dinner or a dinner date. The space also works well for larger groups--more people means more food to sample, making it great for birthday parties or celebrations. Food: - Typical NY prices... aka not the cheapest but with a group reasonable. $$ - I will say, portions seem smaller here than at other Thai places, but still plenty of food served. Definitely best to share plates. - We decided to order some new/ unique dishes: 1. Palo Dumplings (Duck Dumplings): 5/5 2. Roti: 3/5 - The spicy sauce was good! 3. Chicken Pad Thai: 3.5/5 - Chicken was very good. Noodles were okay! 4. Crispy Snapper: 5/5 - SOOO good! Definitely the higlight. 5. Crab Fried Rice: 5/5 This was MORE than enough food for 3 very hungry people! Service: - Food came out within 10 minutes of ordering. - Everyone was very nice and always had a smile on their face. - Our waitress had great suggestions and constantly checked-in on us. - The team always made sure our water cups were filled!
